Our Journey so Far

  • September 2013

    Alderley Analytical is born from a tiny atom of an idea between our 4 founding scientists.

  • February 2014

    We move into laboratory space at Alderley Park, Cheshire and purchase our first Mass Spectrometer machine (Waters Xevo TQ-S Triple Quad).

  • Summer 2014

    Between June and September, we win our first non-regulatory, and then regulatory, contracts.

  • September 2014

    Following our first inspection, we’re delighted to achieve our Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) accreditation.

  • November 2014

    We’re very proud to win the ‘Start-up of the year’ award at the North East Cheshire Business Awards.

  • July 2015

    We receive £300K equity investment from Alderley Park Ventures and The North West Fund for Biomedical.

  • August 2016

    In a significant new business win, the company is chosen as the Preferred Provider for Bioanalysis to a mid-sized biotech company in the Nordic region.

  • October 2016

    Our 3rd mass spectrometer arrives.

  • November 2016

    We receive a second injection of £300K funding from angel investors and the directors enjoy being able to sleep soundly again.

  • March 2017

    The business becomes profitable.

  • April 2017

    Our 18th employee joins us as our growth continues.

  • May 2017

    Our 4th Mass Spectrometer arrives.

  • June 2017

    Our continued success and the ever-growing team means we have to move to even bigger premises at Alderley Park and purchase yet another mass spectrometer.

  • September 2017

    A successful MHRA GLP inspection.

  • October 2017

    We thought we needed a facelift, so our new brand is officially launched!

  • June 2018

    Our 5th LC-MS/MS is installed.

  • September 2018

    6th Mass Spectrometer installed.

  • December 2018

    Another successful MHRA inspection.

  • November 2019

    Mass spec Number 7 installed and validated.

  • Feb 2020

    COVID hits, we change our safety policies and make the business COVID safe, we continue to work through the pandemic supporting our clients with their continuing needs.

  • September 2020

    A successful remote MHRA inspection.

  • January 2021

    Further investment into Ligand Binding Technology with the purchase of our first Meso Scale Discovery (MSD) instrument.

  • March 2021

    WATSON LIMS purchased.

  • October 2021

    Our regulatory support for Anti-drug Antibodies (ADA) Assays begins.

  • December 2021

    WATSON LIMS successfully validated for use.

  • June 2023

    Relocation to our new building at Tytherington Business Park.
